What if this dye was added to the regular dye trader ,I bet it would be arround the same price as white dye.

I've stocked up so much, I bought 150 platinum worth of pink dye because I wanted to spend 150 platinum on it. I've been coloring my stuff, my friends' stuffs, my guildies' things, weapons, bags, walls, etc.

And even after that I'm not even through one stack, I might hop onto the bandwagon and just color everyone's stuff for 100g.

Yes, we've thought about the possibility of a pink dye service and how easily it can be turned into a scam.

I don't think you could get banned for running a legitimate service, tho.

my guildies said you can no longer trade armor, and of course the dyes themselves can't be traded, so is the only way of trading them by dropping them?

As people have said, it is non tradable so no business that way, As for dropping the item outside for a fee, not sure that would work as obviously scams could easily take place there, the same as any item.

Can't drop the dye if that's what you meant, this was one of the first things I tried when they went in.

They would be wrong. Most of the Elite armor I crafted for my first account's HoM is currently residing in storage on my second account.

Now about the dye services...I think thats where guru will come in. Similar to the Zchest services, a persons reputation here is on the line. If one or two people post in a guys thread that he scammed them then he's sunk. He would make more legitimatly dying the stuff for people then making off with the runes on some guys armor or at worst a rare weapon. But if your going to be dying something expensive odds are you'll go with someone you know or who has a nice long thread full of good feedback.

Perfect salvage kits are cheap enough for getting runes off pre-trade. I'd be a little worried about someone salvaging for crafting components if I cared about money :P

Your chances of getting high-end crafting components by salvaging armor are very slim. But the whole idea seems too open to scams or even griefing.

Indeed but asuming the person is just lazy. I mean honestly they'd get more from runes then they would from salavaging for mats..I mean ask system.fan...he knows how even salavaging obby would be a waste in this case.

Even the NFL players are wearing pink. We all have mothers and wives (girlfriends, what have ya), so nothing wrong with supporting a cause to help keep them around and healthy.

We gotta have enough to last for a year at least.

Even by then, we are hoping Guild Wars 2 is out by then...

Customized weapons are tradeable, and I'm pretty sure armor is tradeable too....

so person 1 trades armor to person 2, person 2 dyes armor pink, person 1 gives money and person 2 gives armor back in trade.

She wasn't new at all, it was just Candysmith Marley reused. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Candysmith_Marley

Most people would not agree with you.

Example: I will henceforth call my PS3 "Frederico", and I will take out Demon's Souls and put in Little Big Planet. The new name and change of discs doesn't make it a new console, though.

Relax though, people have wanted pink dye for a hundred years and they finally have it, let them celebrate. It's ridiculous, yeah, but you gotta be happy about the little things in a game that is way past its prime. It's only natural for people to care more about what they can do with the stuff in the game than what it was meant to mean.

For the most part I honestly don't care about this stuff in a video game, but I agree with you entirely here.

I got like 160 or something. I don't think my mini stack will subside very soon anyway.
